Start with fresh seed-starting mix
Old garden soil carries fungus that kills seedlings. Clean, fluffy mix = a healthy start.

Sow 2 seeds per cell
Free insurance. If both sprout, snip the weaker one at soil level — don't pull it.

Moist, never soggy
Overwatering is the #1 seedling killer. A few gentle drops when the surface dries — or water from the bottom tray.

Lights on after sprouting
Seeds sprout with warmth. The moment green appears, the light goes on.

Any white LED works
Daylight-white (6500K) is enough — no fancy grow light needed.

Keep it close: 5–10 cm
Raise it as they grow — distance makes seedlings tall, pale, and floppy.

14–16 hours a day
Seedlings need long days. A cheap plug timer does the remembering.

Air moving = strong stems
A small fan on low, a few hours a day — thicker stems, no mold, no damping-off.
