Start with fresh seed-starting mix
Old garden soil can carry fungus that kills tender seedlings — fresh, clean mix is a safer start.

Sow 2 seeds per cell
Insurance: if both sprout, snip the weaker one.

Soil moist… never soggy
Overwatering is the #1 seedling killer. A few gentle drops when the surface dries — or better, water from the bottom.

Lights on after sprouting
Seeds sprout with moisture and warmth, not light. Once the first two leaves appear, the light goes on.

Daylight white (6500K) is enough — no fancy grow light needed.

Keep it close: 5–10 cm
Raise it as the seedlings grow — distance makes them tall and weak.

A gentle fan a few hours a day = stronger stems, no mold or damping-off.
